Inspired by the masters of Surrealism, Salvador Dali and René Magritte, as well as pop artist Peter Saul, Burey’s works offer a complementary dualism between the abstract and figurative. The British illustrator's surreal scapes won him the 2019 Abbey Road Mural commission: a hippie’s utopian LSD trip meets over-optimistic politician’s campaign poster. Burey studied Visual Arts at college and subsequently, spent 2 years learning the intricacies of photoshop, finessing his understanding of how best to utilise colour. TCP is excited to be showcasing two new works by Burey. Both are complimentary of his photo-shop craft, unique approach to graphic design, and love of vibrant colours.
