His work utilises a mixture of typography and images as a way to tell often personal stories about his life and experiences. Located in the south-eastern regions of Brazil the forest Savana Cerrado is filled with think creeping vegetation and mysterious trees. The endangered Sukupira tree, native to Central America, is found here. On a trip to the Cerrado Hermes Miranda encountered this majestic plant and later created Suku’pira (2020) in response. For Miranda, the Sukupira stands out within the landscape as an important typographical element that embodies this part of the natural world. All of our giclée prints are made using a heavyweight 200gsm museum-quality fine art paper. This paper is FSC approved and has a smooth, clean, matte finish.
